The BATCH
The Janet Batchelder award for excellence in Walk Trot Equitation.
"THE BATCH" to be awarded each year to the Walk Trot rider, age 10 or under, with the combined highest year-end point total in Walk Trot Equitation On The Flat and Walk Trot Equitation Over Poles. "The Batch" award is in honor of the late Janet Batchelder (Mother of Jill Dean & Grandmother of Cooper Dean). Janet was a horse lover born into big city life. As a young child, she saved her babysitting money to be able to take lessons and to catch a bus into Chicago's Morgan Park Military Academy for her Saturday lessons. This award is in honor of Janet Batchelder's love, hard work, and dedication to the equestrian sport and to honor young riders for generations to come for their hard work and dedication to the equestrian sport.
