The Alabama Hunter-Jumper Association (AHJA) was formed as a charitable and educational group to enhance similar organizations in the area, and to promote national and international competition, at all phases and levels of equestrian science and activities, with special emphasis on English riding, hunt seat, jumping, combined training, dressage, horsemanship, horse care and training. AHJA holds various competitions each year and makes contributions to qualifying organizations.
AHJA membership is not restricted by location. Though most of our over 200 members live in Jefferson, Shelby or St. Clair county our membership includes many members from Tuscaloosa, Montgomery and Huntsville and even an occasional out of state member.
If you are not a member but would like to be, just print out the membership form and mail it in along with membership dues. If you're not sure about joining, come to one of our shows. You can come just to watch or enter a class. Shows are usually open to all, but if you want to go for the year end points you must join. |
